C+D Artist – Jewelry: Ayala Naphtali

Ayala Naphtali began making jewelry as a teen in New York. She draws inspiration from ancient alphanumeric systems, contemporary architecture and her personal cultural history. She is intrigued with balance and proportion, and is committed to the use of materials for their color, texture and versatility.  Ayala studied Gold and Silversmithing at FIT and SUNY New Paltz, where she received her BFA in 1985. Her pieces have been featured in ELLE, The Fashions of The Times, The New York Times, Mademoiselle, Women’s Wear Daily, Glamour, and New Women Magazine. During the Craft + Design Show on Nov. 20-21, Ayala will be located at Booth 18.
